Journal of Integrative Neuroscience (JIN) is an open access, peer-reviewed journal and published quarterly. It is abstracted and indexed in Science Citation Index Expanded, MEDLINE/PubMed, BIOSIS Previews, Scopus and other databases. The Journal has a 2020 impact factor of 2.117 in the neurosciences and a CiteScore of 1.80.

Aims and Scope

The Journal of Integrative Neuroscience is devoted to the publication of leading-edge research at the interface of theoretical and experimental neuroscience, focusing across hierarchical levels of brain organization to better understand how diverse functions are integrated.

The scope of this leading Journal is broad, encompassing numerous aspects of neuroscience. The Journal will promote and disseminate studies categorized under the following themes: Neuroanatomy, neuroimaging, modeling, neurocomputation, neural networks, molecular neurobiology, cyto-neurology, neurophysiology, neuropathology, neuroimmunology, neuropharmacology, behavioral neuroscience, developmental neurosciences, neuro-Oncology, cognitive neuroscience, system neuroscience, computational neurosciences, neuroevolution, neuropsychology, clinical neurology, neurosurgery, brain disorders, neurovascular diseases, stroke, neuroendocrinology, neurotoxicology and other areas related to the neurosciences. The distinguishing feature of the Journal is to bridge the gap between neuroscience and other related fields.


This Journal publishes original research, reviews, systematic reviews, mini-reviews, opinions, commentaries, short communications, brief reports, and letters to the editor.

Article-processing charges

The manuscript submitted to JIN (ISSN: 0219-6352) is required to pay $1900 for Article Processing Charge (APC) after it has been accepted for publication. There are no submission charges.

APCs mainly go forward defraying the costs of:  
· JIN website construction 
· Online submission & peer review system 
· Article layout 
· Third party (Crossref etc.) payment 

Payment: via Bank transfer and Credit Card.
